A new furniture store bring the beauty of unique woodwork to Concord
The Amish Country Barn, which opened March 1, is full of jams, jellies, fudge and candles, as well as end tables, bookshelves, TV stands, bed frames and other furniture crafted by Amish woodworkers in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
The furniture is made the same way the Amish woodworkers have been making it for generations, Tim LeClair said. Although practices differ among communities, most Amish avoid using modern appliances and electricity, which would boost their dependence on the outside world. Instead, the work is all done by hand.

The Amish Country Barn, owned by Tim and Erica LeClair, opened March 1 at the former home of S&W sports. After years of driving long distances to treasure hunt for country-style home décor, the couple realized there was a market in Concord for Amish-made goods.
